Constantine I, 307/310-337. Follis (Bronze, 18 mm, 3.27 g, 6 h), Rome, circa 320. CONS-TANTINVS AVG Helmeted and cuirassed bust of Constantine I to right. Rev. VOT X / ET XV F / R ЄΡⲰC P in three lines within wreath. RIC 201. Extremely rare and with an excellent, sharply struck portrait. Minor traces of corrosion on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.

This is one of only two examples known from officina P for this type, one being held in Madrid and the other in the Ramskold Collection and offered here. It offers one of the finest portraits of Constantine I in the collection, with a powerful gaze, determined lips, a massive cheek, and, of course, his famous hooked nose.
